As per Notification No. LSGD/PD/24269/2024-ER1 dated 06.09.2024, published in Extraordinary Gazette No. 28889 dated 07.09.2024 by the Director of Local Self Government Department (Rural), the number of seats to be filled through direct election in Vattamkulam Grama Panchayat of Malappuram District has been fixed as 22. Based on this, draft proposals for dividing the said Grama Panchayat into 22 constituencies and for determining the boundaries of such constituencies were published through Notification No. SDC/834/2024/SDC dated 18.11.2024.
Time was allowed up to 04.12.2024 for submitting objections and suggestions regarding the said proposals. The objections and suggestions received were duly examined, the complainants were heard in person, and appropriate decisions were taken after considering all matters concerned.
Therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 10-0 of the Kerala Panchayat Raj Act, 1991, final orders have been issued dividing Vattamkulam Grama Panchayat into 22 constituencies and determining their boundaries as shown in the schedule appended herewith.
