Introductory Declaration
Contrary to the general perception that a budget is merely a collection of ideas born out of imagination, this budget has been prepared as a reflection of development and public welfare. This budget represents both the administrative achievements of our governing committee, which came to power through the 2020 general election, and the development goals envisioned for the coming year.
With the core objective of decentralization of power — bringing governance closer to the people — this Budget for the financial year 2025–26 of Vattamkulam Grama Panchayat has been prepared with the sole aim of people-oriented progress and development.
Budget Speech
As the final budget of this governing committee, the 2025–26 Budget has been prepared by giving importance to the production and service sectors while also ensuring equal priority to the supporting agricultural sectors.
Along with promoting the agricultural sector, priority is also given to the welfare of vulnerable sections and energy conservation. This budget, which unveils the development vision of Vattamkulam Grama Panchayat, places special emphasis on the supporting sectors.
Vision
We have successfully coordinated and implemented government initiatives such as the LIFE Housing Scheme, Waste-Free Kerala, E-Governance, and Extreme Poverty Eradication programmes. We continue to undertake and implement the follow-up activities of these initiatives.
The development vision of this budget is to ensure the comprehensive development of the Panchayat by effectively utilizing the limited existing resource base along with additional revenue sources available from other Local Self-Government Departments and the Central and State Governments.
Objectives
In addition to the projects approved by the District Planning Committee, certain new action ideas are also being presented as part of this budget. We must strive to implement projects that are essential for the locality through active public participation.
